The camera is a mechanical eye that we use to extend our subjective gaze. This device teaches us to see through the eyes of others. It teaches us to see ourselves from the outside, to see ourselves objectively. Occasionally this device seems to have more power than our own corporeal eyes. This project is a short film shot in stereoscopic 3D and in black and white, which explores the relationship between the eye and the camera. Its production in native S3D constructs a sort of mise-en-abyme of the binocular human gaze, underpinning the central themes of the film.
